Refund policy

RETURNS, EXCHANGES & PEACE OF MIND GUARANTEE

At Subtldays, we care deeply about hoo-ha hygiene and customer confidence. Because underwear is an intimate garment, we have clear policies in place to protect both our customers and our community.

Please read the below carefully before purchasing.


RETURNS POLICY

Due to hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on underwear that has been worn, except where a genuine manufacturing fault is identified under Australian Consumer Law.

Trying on your order

  • You may try on one (1) pair only to assess fit.

  • All additional pairs must remain unworn, unwashed, and returned with original liners, tags, and packaging intact to be eligible for return.

If more than one pair has been worn, this voids eligibility for a return or refund under our Returns Policy and Peace of Mind Guarantee.

Faulty items

In the rare event you receive a damaged or faulty item, please contact us at hello@subtldays.com.au within 14 days of delivery. If a genuine manufacturing fault is confirmed, we will arrange an appropriate remedy in line with Australian Consumer Law.


EXCHANGES POLICY (FIRST ORDERS ONLY)

If you’re a first-time Subtldays customer, we’re happy to offer exchanges on unworn items only from your first order.

How exchanges work

  • We recommend purchasing a bundle pack and opening one pair only to assess fit.

  • Remaining unworn pairs may be exchanged for a different size or style, subject to stock availability.

  • Return shipping for exchanges is at the customer’s expense.


PEACE OF MIND GUARANTEE

We want you to feel confident trying Subtldays — that’s why we offer our Peace of Mind Guarantee.

What this means

  • You may try on one (1) pair only to assess fit and comfort.

  • If the style isn’t right for you, you can return the all pairs from your order in accordance with this policy.

What the Peace of Mind Guarantee does not cover

The Peace of Mind Guarantee does not apply to:

  • Items that have been worn beyond the initial single-pair try-on

  • Orders where multiple pairs have been worn, tested, or washed

  • Fit, comfort, or performance concerns identified after extended wear, including under activewear or during workouts

Once more than one pair has been worn, the guarantee is void.

Single-Pair Try-On Allowance

To help you assess fit with confidence:

  • You may try on one (1) pair only from your order.

  • If the fit is not suitable, we’re happy to refund the entire order, provided:

    • Only one pair has been tried on

    • The tried-on pair is washed before return

    • All remaining pairs are unworn, unwashed, and returned with original liners and packaging intact

Once more than one pair has been worn, the Peace of Mind Guarantee is void.


HOW TO CLAIM

Step 1: Initiate Your Request

You must email hello@subtldays.com.au within 14 days of purchase to apply for the Peace of Mind Guarantee.

Please include:

  • Your full name and order number

  • A clear photo of the product(s) you wish to return, showing condition and original packaging

  • A brief explanation of why the style wasn’t right for you

Step 2: Prepare Your Return

Once approved, you will receive return authorisation from our team.

Please:

  • Print one copy of your Order Confirmation email

  • Clearly mark (e.g. circle) the item(s) being returned

  • Include this printout inside your return parcel

Step 3: Post the Product

Return the approved item(s), along with the printed Order Confirmation email, within 14 days of delivery.

We strongly recommend using a tracked shipping service, as Subtldays is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.


TERMS & CONDITIONS

Eligibility

  • Valid only for orders placed directly on www.subtldays.com.au

  • Limited to one (1) product per customer / household every 6 months

Product condition

Returned items must:

  • Be in original, undamaged packaging

  • Be undamaged and substantially unused

  • Include original liners, tags, and components

For opened items:

  • Only one pair may have been tried on

  • Any additional worn pairs void the guarantee

Timeline

  • Refund requests must be emailed within 14 days of purchase

  • Returned items must be postmarked within 14 days of delivery

Refunds

  • Refunds are processed to the original payment method only

  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer

  • Refunds are processed within 10–14 business days of receiving the return

Discretion

Subtldays reserves the right to decline any request that appears to be:

  • An abuse of the guarantee

  • Fraudulent

  • Inconsistent with these terms

Lost or damaged returns

We are not responsible for returns lost or damaged in transit. Please use registered or trackable shipping.


“INVISIBLE” FIT CLARIFICATION

Our underwear is described as “invisible” in the sense that it is designed to sit smoothly and minimise visible lines under most activewear.

As with all intimate apparel, performance and visibility can vary depending on:

  • Fabric thickness and compression

  • Garment fit 

  • Movement and activity level in choice of activewear worn


AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major fault, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. This does not apply to:

  • Change of mind

  • Preference-based dissatisfaction

  • Items that have been worn and are not faulty



SHIPPING & PROCESSING

  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer

  • We strongly recommend using a tracked service, as we are not responsible for items lost in transit

  • Approved refunds or store credits are processed once returned items pass a quality check
